The event coincides with National Apprenticeship Week, which aims to shine a light on the hospitality industry as a rewarding career choice and applaud apprenticeship success stories across the country.
The apprentices will come from companies including HIT Training, Umbrella Training and UK Hospitality. The event will enable the apprentices to meet MPs and special guests including Craig Parsons, apprenticeship manager at Fuller, Smith & Turner PLC.
Keith Knowles, chairman of the Perceptions Group who organise the event, said: “This event is about showcasing the hospitality industry and some of its up and coming stars. Hospitality is utterly unique in the UK job market; we have a huge range of diverse opportunities available, from the kitchen, to HR, marketing and finance.
“On top of this, companies within the sector are dedicated to the training and development of their people, uplifting employees and encouraging career progression.”
The UK hospitality industry supports 3.2 million jobs, represents 10% of the economy’s employment and 5% of the UK’s GDP.
Parsons added: “Our apprentices are an amazing group of people and they inspire all of us at Fuller’s. It is a real pleasure to be able to play such a pivotal role in their development.
“We are already seeing a number of apprentices progress through our award-winning Chef’s Guild Academy. They are the head chefs of the future and having seen the creativity within them, I am excited about the future.”
