Abstract
Twinings has been voted the number one hot beverage superbrand in the U.K by the Centre for Brand Analysis.
Ranked 38th overall in the U.K.'s top 500 Superbrands list and awarded the top spot in the Tea & Coffee Category, the Twinings brand has been recognised for 'establishing the finest reputation in its field and offering customers significant emotional and/or tangible advantages over its competitors, which customers want and recognise'. In order to gain a place on the much coveted list, the UK's leading brands are reviewed, firstly by an independent and expert panel and then voted for by British consumers. Twinings Superbrand status means great news for operators as Andrea Stopher, Senior Customer Marketing Manager explained: "Twinings is delighted to be named as the number one tea & coffee Superbrand in the U.K. Its premium positioning and Superbrand status offers a significant profit opportunity for operators as it's the only brand that can credibly persuade customers to pay more due to its reputation for quality." The Top 500 Superbrands list has been highlighting Britain's leading brands for almost 15 years, operating in over 55 countries and is acknowledged as the benchmark for brand success.
