Twelve chef teams to take part in The Dirty Dozen barbecue competition

Abstract
Twelve chef teams will be competing for the Grand Pork Chef and Champion Team trophies on Sunday 19 September at the Signature Brewery in London.

The judging panel includes vice president of the Craft Guild of Chefs Steve Munkley, Dan Hawkins & Rufus Taylor from the Darkness, managing editor of The Caterer Lisa Jenkins, culinary & innovation director of Griffith Foods John Feeney and Karl Pendlebury from AHDB.

Supported by colleges and students from ‘A Passion to Inspire’ this years teams include:

  • Hoggy’s Dellends- Mathew Hoggard & Dez Turland
  • Poynton’s Pirates- Mark Poynton & Sam Carter
  • Milkies Swine’s- Adam Lestrelle & Dennis Mwakulua
  • Paton’s Porketeers- Alan Paton & Matt Willby
  • Jabba The Nuts- Andrew Nutter & Rob Kennedy
  • The Mardy Mods- Russell Bateman & Jean Paul
  • Delia’s Darlings- Eric Snaith & Adam Simmonds
  • Smithy’s City Slickers- Adam Smith & Jonas Plangger
  • Mighty Morphin Pork Arrangers- John Jackaman & Barney O’Connell
  • Los Dos Amigos Peludos- Lee Cooper & Greg Emmerson
  • Claxton’s Craft Cockney Rebels- Nick Claxton Webb & Scott Taylor
  • The Dare Devil BBQ’s- Jazz Dawar & Greg Cheeseman  

Tickets cost £27.50 per ticket, which includes four small plates and a beer.
