Wheatley - who won the popular BBC baking programme in 2011 - will be cooking up a range of cakes and pastries suitable for the education market on Thursday 11 July, while sharing her top tips and advice.
Wheatley said: “I began using Stork after I found it made my cakes so much lighter and tastier, and I can’t wait to show the school caterers at LACA just how versatile it is. I bake every day, so it’s really important that I use ingredients that are up to the challenge of creating great-tasting dishes - and Stork delivers every time. From banana and carrot cakes to oatmeal and raisin cookies, Stork gets the job done.”
James Allred, education channel manager at Unilever Food Solutions, added: “We’re delighted that Jo Wheatley is backing our Big School Bake Off campaign. There has been a huge increase in interest in baking thanks to TV baking shows and we want school caterers to take pride in baking from scratch at school. With hard-working ingredients such as Stork on hand to help, it’s easy to bake tasty treats that students love and caterers enjoy making.”
