Abstract
The University Caterers Organisation (TUCO) has signed a partnership with the UK Students Union Association (UKSUA) which will allow UKSUA members to benefit from TUCO’s procurement contracts.

The agreement between TUCO and UKSUA will be for an initial period of three years.

Mike Haslin, CEO of TUCO said:  “We are delighted to partner with UKSUA. We’re confident that our not for profit procurement services can offer them a consistent and efficient procurement process.

“By trading with more than 200 quality assured suppliers, it means that we can offer flexibility and a wider choice of brands and own label products, enabling us to offer high levels of value for money. We are excited to share this.”

TUCO has released multiple enhancements within their procurement services this year, including the Further Competition Service; an additional procurement audit to find even better value in purchasing; and the TUCO Efficiency Review which will independently measure complete business performance and provide metrics to help improve take-up, spend per head and margin.

Dennis Nemerov, CEO of the UK Students Union Association (pictured left) said: "UKSUA is proud to be partnered with TUCO to provide our members with exclusive access to their procurement services.

“Together, our mission is to create flexible, sustainable and highly cost-effective purchasing, whilst at the same time granting Students’ Unions free access to a range of valuable services.

“This partnership marks an end to ‘Pay to Play’, as we break down traditional barriers imposed on SU retail and catering services."
