Abstract
The University Caterers Organisation (TUCO) is to host a mixology masterclass in partnership with University College Birmingham (UCB) this month to increase guests’s “knowledge in bar skills.”

Taking place 29 February at UCB, the one-day course is aimed at bar supervisors, team leaders, aspiring bar managers and “anyone with responsibility for business development in the hospitality industry.”

TUCO head of academy,
Sarah McLoughlin,
added: “We (TUCO) are delighted to partner with UCB to launch the mixology masterclass. This course is a good training and development opportunity for our members and non-members alike.

“It is also the perfect preparation for anyone who is taking part in this year’s Bar Skills Competitions at the TUCO Competitions 2018.”

Covering innovations in mixology, an introduction to sensory knowledge as well as spirit and cocktail masterclasses and wine pairing for restaurant service, participants will also be guided through the background and concepts of mixology and cocktail making, and learn essential techniques.

Tickets cost £99 for TUCO members and £180 for non-members. For more information or to book, visit: http://www.tuco.ac.uk/component/rseventspro/event/186-ucb-masterclass-mixology.
