Trade organsiation Ceda grows in Scotland
Abstract
Following a meeting in October 2024, as promised Ceda returned to Scotland in January to update its members on action from the last meeting.

In October Ceda held its first meeting in Scotland in 15 years. Ceda recognised the need for dedicated support for its Scottish members and set about working up an agenda for its members north of the border.

The trade organisation listened to the concerns of its members and pledged to deliver on a number of initiatives including engineer training and recruitment solutions as well as better connecting its members and partners.

Ceda returned to Scotland on 30th January 2025 for a meeting held at Falkirk Stadium. Ceda now has 15 members in Scotland, up three from its first visit in October.

Steve Hemsil, Ceda’s community development manager, said: “We’ve really made Scotland, and our presence there, a priority. To see the Scottish membership growing and creating opportunities befitting to both Ceda members and partners, is a huge achievement for us.

“Some great conversations took place, strengthening existing ties along with many new connections being made. Moving forward we’re excited to develop engineer training and continue to deliver on our promises to Scottish members.”

Ceda represents professional catering design, project management, equipment distributors and service companies in the UK. With over 135 members, offering both local and national support to all types of commercial catering and foodservice operations, Ceda’s members have a combined turnover of over £500 million.
