The chefs are: Michael Wignall, head chef at The Latymer at Pennyhill Park Hotel, Surrey; Russell Bateman, head chef at Collettes at The Grove, Hertfordshire; Mary-Ellen McTague, chef/proprietor of The Aumbry in Manchester; Mike Robinson, TV presenter and chef at Pot Kiln; Lisa Allen, head chef at Northcote Manor in Blackburn; Chris Bell, head chef at Galgorm Resort & Spa, Co Antrim; James Knappett, chef at Bubbledogs in London.
The festival taking place in the spacious grounds of Warbrook House in Eversley, near Hook in Hampshire, promises to be a day-long platform for showing off a diverse range of artisan, local and national food and equipment suppliers, as well as a host of trends and debates.
These will cover topics such as health versus taste, the street food revolution, girl power, navigating the menu, and conventional versus organic farming.
There will also be another chance to take part in the festival’s popular foraging tours to learn about wild natural food and what to do with it when you’ve found it from expert foragers.
Craft Guild vice chairman Lee Maycock said: “This year we’ve done away with the indoor area and will blend chef demonstrations with trends and debates from expert speakers on a centre stage under one huge ‘big top’ marquee.”
