This one-off event saw chefs from The Square, Murano and Kitchen W8 – who between them boast a total of four Michelin stars, prepare a fine dining menu. Lending support throughout the evening was Brasserie Joël’s head chef Walter Ishizuka.
Courses on offer included a tasting of mackerel with oysters, cockles and clams prepared by Phil Howard and hand rolled farfalle with roasted partridge and toasted breadcrumbs prepared by Angela Hartnett.
Hartnett said: “Christmas is an important time of year for the hospitality industry, but also a time when many are working harder than ever to make other people’s Christmas celebrations special. I am delighted to lend my support to Hospitality Action and I would encourage others to do the same this festive season.”
Penny Moore, chief executive, Hospitality Action added: “The £12,500 raised tonight will help provide an essential lifeline to those who find themselves in crisis this Christmas. Our heart-filled thanks goes to each of the Chefs involved and to all those at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London for making the event such a success.”
