Tobacco Dock Food wins ‘Best Catering at a Venue’ at National Venue Awards

Tobacco Dock’s in-house caterer and part of the Eventist Group, Tobacco Dock Food, has been named ‘Best Catering at a Venue’ at the inaugural National Venue Awards, held this month (11 May).

Hosted by the Global Conference Network, the National Venue Awards recognise and celebrate the excellence and exceptional quality of venues across the UK. 

Tobacco Dock Food was recognised for its creative and forward-thinking approach to event catering, with an intrinsic ability to respond to the nation's changing tastes and trends, as demonstrated by the two-day Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics summit held last year, which saw over 3,000 attendees sample an ethically sourced menu that was 100% vegan and 80% gluten-free.  

Tim Stevens, managing director at Eventist Group, says: “We are delighted to have won this coveted award and to be recognised as London’s leading caterer, yet again, by our industry peers.”

Tobacco Dock came runner-up in the Event/Stadia/Arena category at this year’s Cost Sector Catering Awards. Tobacco Dock Food also gained a win at the 2017 London Venue Awards.

Tobacco Dock Food is the result of a partnership between Tobacco Dock as a venue and caterer Tapenade, part of Eventist Group. Since the partnership began in September 2015, Tobacco Dock Food team has catered for over 107,000 guests across 101 events. 

Stevens added: “Tobacco Dock Food continues to push the boundaries with its innovative ideas and I’m hugely proud of every single member of staff for making every event a success, going above and beyond to deliver exceptional experiences from start to finish.”
