Tillery Valley strengthens its dietetic team

2nd Aug 2010 - 00:00
Abstract
Tillery Valley, a provider of prepared meals to the healthcare sector and part of Sodexo UK and Ireland, has strengthened it dietetics team with the appointment of Julie Lardie.
Lardie will primarily focus on providing nutrition and dietetic advice to Tillery Valley customers, product development and technical teams. Lardie joins Sodexo from ISS facility Services Healthcare where she held a national support role. During her time there, she provided a dietetic support service to over 40 hospital contracts through the UK, taking responsibility for menu development, menu analysis and specialist dietetic training. She has previously also held a role with Aramark, and as a clinical dietitian at both Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup and the Princess Royal Hospital in Bromley. She will work with Anne Donelan, dietetic services manager at Tillery Valley since 1996. Both are members of the British Dietetic Association (BDA) and Donelan chairs 'Food Counts', a BDA specialist group for dietitians working within the catering industry. Both dietitians are also members of the Hospital Caterers Association and National Association for Care Catering, and are active branch members. Lardie said: "It's going to be really interesting working to improve patient food services from another angle. I've worked 'in catering' for the past five years from a contractors viewpoint, and I'm excited to have this opportunity to now experience the 'supplier' perspective. I am really pleased to be joining what is a very experienced team and can't wait to get started." Donelan added: "It is a tribute to the regard Tillery Valley has for the importance of nutrition and dietetics as a core part of the business that we have invested in an increased dietetic resource. It is a pleasure for me to welcome Julie to our team, and look forward to her fresh views, additional dietetic insight and some new ideas to progress our food offers for customers and their clients, especially those in health and seniors care settings."
