Abstract
Wholesaler Thomas Ridley Foodservice has appointed Damien Barrett non-executive director to help ‘continue to drive the business forward.’

Assuming his new role as of January next year, Barrett joins from Irish company Henderson Foodservice, where he has worked for 13 years – ten of which as managing director.

He said: “Taking up this new role with Thomas Ridley is truly exciting and I look forward to working closely with Justin (Godfrey, Thomas Ridley managing director) and the board to understand its plans for the future and contribute to the next stage of the journey.”

Hired following a ‘successful period of growth,’ Thomas Ridley believes Barrett will “afford further experience and industry specific knowledge into the business.”

Managing director Justin Godfrey added: “I’m delighted to welcome Damien to Thomas Ridley.

“Attracting someone of his calibre is a reflection of the continuing success of our business, and his vast experience and achievements within the industry enable him to provide advice and guidance to the board as we continue to implement our long term strategy.”
