Abstract
Howlett’s Wild Animal Park in Canterbury has driven volume and increased value by 50p per cup since the addition of Tea Fusion to the attraction’s coffee house.

Helen McCarthy, group retail & catering general manager at The Aspinall Foundation, which operates the park, said: “From a customer attraction point of view it’s been excellent. Customers see the machine brewing and they want a tea. It’s as simple as that.

“Since we got the machine, sales of both speciality and iced teas have increased a lot. About 20% of our hot drinks sales are now tea – which is quite remarkable when you consider the average out of home is just 5%. We’ve also increased the price of our tea by 50p a cup – and people are happy to pay it.”
