The West Cornwall Pasty Co., the UK's largest specialist retailer of Cornish pasties, has teamed up with Mark Prisk MP (Shadow Minister for Cornwall) to help promote South West produce to MP's at the Houses of Parliament.
Mark Prisk MP, who is a native Cornishman and is now the MP for Hertford and Stortford, has organised a South West food showcase for all the catering and food outlets in the Houses of Parliament from today (20 April) until the end of the month. The Houses of Parliament has 12 different outlets ranging from fine dining to brasseries, bars and cafes and sells over 10,000 products a day. During the South West showcase it will feature the best products from the region including, meat, fish, vegetables, cheese, beer and of course Cornish pasties. The West Cornwall Pasty Co. opened its first store in 1998 has now grown to over 70 stores across the UK and sells seven million pasties a year.
