Abstract
Synergy Grill, the ‘energy saving’ commercial grill manufacturer, has this week revealed a brand new business priority: to “reduce energy output of commercial kitchens by 59%.”

Headed by chairman Justin Cadbury, the great-great grandson of Cadbury’s founder, John Cadbury, is now looking to ‘innovate the food industry himself.’

As such, the company is launching an awareness campaign to encourage commercial kitchens to reduce their energy output, and demonstrate new ways that food businesses can save money and be more environmentally responsible.

Promoted across social media, talks, catering industry events, trade shows and live cookery demonstrations, the campaign will highlight the ‘major burden’ that energy costs are a to restaurants, Cadbury said.

He added: “Diners and chefs want the synergy of best quality food taste at lower cost. I am excited to start a mission - encouraging the industry to change its behaviours and energy output.

“With Synergy Grills, we look forward to challenging mainstream attitudes to wasteful energy usage within the food industry for decades to come, as well as promoting British technology”.
