Abstract
New research from Comparethemarket.com has revealed the home comforts that Brits need when travelling abroad.

According to the research teabags (27.3%) were among the most popular things to be packed in the suitcase, with items like coffee (15.2%) and crisps (9.1%) also proving popular with those travelling abroad.

Other food items that people can’t go on holiday without include chocolate (8.6%), cereal bars (8.1%), ketchup (4.8%), a packet of noodles (4.5%) and marmite (4.4%).

Over a third of those surveyed said they packed their favourite items because of the lack of availability abroad. Almost a quarter of Brits (24%) said they would feel ‘anxious’ if they couldn’t take their specific item with them on holiday.
