Success for natural and organic market

10th Apr 2009 - 00:00
Abstract
The 13th Natural and Organic Products Europe, which took place at London's Olympia between 5 and 6 April, attracted around 8,000 attendees, a 60% growth on five years ago.
A total of 600 exhibitors took to their stands, with products from more than 40 different countries. Carsten Holm, managing director of organisers Diversified Business Communications, explained: "At a time of much uncertainty, our increased marketing effort really paid off, with exhibitors agreeing that this was our best show ever. "The attendance was exceptional and the proof was there that even during difficult times, get the message right and people will continue to attend trade shows in large numbers". Both exhibitors and visitors agreed. Matt Giles, Snooze Fruit Ice, said: "It's been brilliant today – even better, and busier, than last year" and Glenda Taylor of Balm Balm agreed, saying: "Natural & Organic Products Europe is always good for us but this year regardless of the dreary economic climate, it was better than ever! Janine Carroll, of Nature's Dream thought it was the " Best ever show to date. "It's been frantic! And from Traey Hollom of Vert PR, said: "Great to be part of a show that just gets better every year! It was especially encouraging to see so many new exhibitors and product launches particularly in view of the economic climate, not to mention being a wonderful environment in which to catch up with contacts from the past and present — the only downside is it went too fast!"
