10th Feb 2009 - 00:00
Abstract
Starbucks has launched a value offer in the US which the coffee chain says is a response to the economic pressures facing its customers.
From March 3rd customers will be able to buy a hot beverage and snack for $3.95. These pairings will be available all day and provide customers with an average saving of $1.20. Michelle Gass, executive vice president of marketing and category at Starbucks said: "During these tough times, customers need to know they're making a smart choice when they come to Starbucks. That they're getting the world's finest coffee, delicious food made with quality ingredients, and an experience they can't get anywhere else." Starbucks pairings include: Tall café latte paired with: - Starbucks Perfect Oatmeal or Reduced-Fat Cinnamon Swirl Coffee Cake Tall brewed coffee paired with: - Artisan Bacon Sandwich or Artisan Ham Sandwich or Sausage Breakfast Sandwich or Reduced-Fat Turkey Bacon Breakfast Sandwich Recent media reports have suggested that Starbucks' grip on the higher-end of the coffee market is slipping, as globally stores have been shut and profits have fallen.
