Abstract
Today Starbucks is marking its 40th anniversary by revealing its new logo, innovative store designs and a fresh approach to food and coffee.
The new "siren" logo is part of a renewed design approach in everything from the look and feel of the store to the cup in each customer's hand. The new logo will feature on the store sign, on new cream mugs and takeaway cups. It comes as the company is serving a record number of customers in the UK. New Starbucks Reserve is on offer and other new products include the Cocoa Cappuccino - a novel twist on a classic favourite – and Starbucks Petites – a range of mini-treats for sharing including Cake Pops and Whoopie Pies. Darcy Willson-Rymer, managing director, Starbucks UK & Ireland, said: "In our 40th year, we are determined to be true to our original promise – to deliver the highest quality coffee and customer service in exceptional stores, and we will never compromise on our founding principle of running a business that is socially and ethically responsible. That means doing good in the communities where we work whether that's in coffee growing countries or here in the UK."
