Abstract
Travel food operator, SSP Group, has signed a five-year contract to open Michelin-starred Asian bistro Jardin de Jade at Hong Kong International Airport.

Launched in Shanghai in 1999, Jardin de Jade offers authentic and innovative dishes that ‘embody the essence’ of regional Chinese cooking and was awarded a Michelin Star in 2015, which it has retained to this day.

The brand has since expanded to 23 branches with locations in Beijing, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Hong Kong and Macau.

Mark Angela, CEO of SSP Asia Pacific, said: “We are delighted to be working with Jardin de Jade to give passengers at Hong Kong International Airport a real taste of regional Chinese cuisine. With cooking and interior design that combine the best elements of both the modern and traditional, the new Jardin de Jade bistro will provide a truly memorable dining destination for travellers.”

The new site, opened in the East Hall at Hong Kong International Airport, meets the needs of all passengers, offering a range of price points and value-for-money options.

The menu features regional Chinese specialities with an emphasis on Shanghainese cuisine, appealing to both local and international tastes. Dishes include classic favourites such as drunken chicken and vegetable abalone, as well as more extravagant specialities such as Shrimp Ball with Salted Egg Yolk and House Special Braised Pork.

Travellers with shorter dwell times will also feel welcome at Jardin de Jade, with small plates and snacks for casual dining and a modern bar serving fine wines, craft beers and signature cocktails.
