Abstract
SSP Group, operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations worldwide, has opened six renowned brands at Malaga Costa del Sol.

Malaga Costa del Sol, operated by Aena, is one of Spain’s longest-standing airports and offers connections to the entire Costa del Sol region. In 2018, 19 million passengers passed through the airport.

Blanca Ripoll, managing director of SSP Spain, said: “With its reputation as a popular destination for many holidaymakers, Malaga Costa del Sol is the perfect location for us to open new sites for our range of highly-recognisable international brands. We are honoured to be working with Aena to help improve the overall food and beverage offer at the airport.”

SSP launched Jamie’s Deli, from chef Jamie Oliver. It offers passengers freshly prepared dishes including sandwiches, artisan pizza and hot deli items for eating in or on the go.

SSP opened two Starbucks units, one landside and one airside, along with a SOHO Coffee Co. outlet in April. Shortly after Burger king and La Boutique were also added at the airport.

SSP has over 50 years experience and more than 37,000 employees, serving an estimated 1.5 million customers every day. The operator of food and beverage concessions has businesses at approximately 600 sites, mostly airport and railway stations, across 33 countries.
