The group, headquartered in Kings Cross, London, won the partnership with the airport this year to deliver catering options for work areas and open a Jamie’s Deli and Jamie’s Deli Van. A KFC will open in March.
Jan-Henrik Anderson, chief commercial officer of SSP DACH, said: “As Germany's third-largest airport and the key hub in NRW, Düsseldorf Airport is an important partner for us, and we have already working closely and successfully with the team here for a number of years.
“As operators of the conference centre, in partnership with Düsseldorf airport, we are delighted to be building on this successful partnership.”
A Haussmann’s restaurant, from Patrick Rüther and partner Tim Mälzer, German TV chef, and French café and patisserie épi and 4Cani, respectively, have also opened in the airport.
The airport’s conference centre, which includes 10 conference rooms, 15 boardrooms, and plug-in workstations, will be provided with self-service snacks and the SSP brand portfolio can be accessed from conference rooms.
SSP, who operates brands such as James Martin Kitchen, Yo! Sushi and Burger King, are expecting a total turnover of €112 million (£97.8 million).
