Abstract
Malnutrition and obesity are two sides of the same coin, argue industry leaders, and need a joined up approach if they are to be tackled successfully. Siobhan O’Neill reports.
The top 20 ‘most influential’ people in public sector catering in 2015 were named by Cost Sector Catering in last month’s issue. In December, they gathered round a table at the House of Commons to pool their ideas and concerns.
In tackling topics such as malnutrition, obesity, staff training and allergen awareness, they found some common themes: all need a joined-up approach and would benefit the public purse long term from some short-term investment now.
