With less than a year to go to the start of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, the funds raised by the 1,000-mile relay will contribute to helping Paralympics GB athletes reach their full potential on the world stage.
Levy UK + Ireland, the sports and entertainment caterer, is proud to be a supporter of Paralympics GB and supports their vision to ‘inspire’ a better world for disabled people.
A spokesperson for Levy said: “To date, our teams have provided a huge amount of fundraising for Paralympics GB, more than £100,000 has been donated so far. This year we have an ambition of raising £50,000 by re-energising our effort and collectively taking part in the Levy UK + I 1,000-mile relay.
“The route spans 1,000-miles across Scotland, England and Wales, stopping and starting at many of our venues along the way. The route is divided into 45-legs, each leg varying in length (miles). Legs that are lengthy are cycled; shorter legs are walked. After each leg, a baton is passed to the next team signalling the start of the next route - taking us one step closer to our fundraising aim.”
