Sodexo’s new Futures programme supports next generation of facility management (FM) leaders
Abstract
Global services company, Sodexo, has joined forces with HIT Training to launch a new development programme to support and develop the next generation of facility management (FM) leaders.

The new programme offers a customer service practitioner (level 2) or customer service specialist (level 3) apprenticeships. Both apprenticeships are 18-month courses and include an Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM) accreditation.

The aim of the new futures programme is to provide employees with the right skills, capability and attitude to deliver facilities management focussed on people and experiences. Each participant will be employed in a permanent role with Sodexo.

Kim Leahy, human resources director at Sodexo UK & Ireland, said: “This new development programme is a really important part of our people strategy. We are committed to supporting and developing the next generation of leaders for our business.

“To achieve this, we truly believe customer service skills are crucial in the delivery of workplace experience and consumer driven FM. We acknowledge that to succeed we need to give people the right skills and attributes to deliver against our clients’ needs now and into the future.”
