Abstract
Global services company Sodexo has been awarded a five-year integrated facilities management (IFM) contract with the University of Greenwich, beginning in May 2020.

The contract will see Sodexo deliver a range of facilities services including security, cleaning and grounds maintenance.

Andrew Wilkinson, chief executive officer at Sodexo, said: “We are excited about our new partnership with the University of Greenwich.

“We are committed to supporting the university’s strategic plan and collaborating with them to deliver social and added value that will enhance environments and experiences for students, staff and the local community.

Sodexo’s IFM services focus on ‘enriching’ the student and staff experience with an emphasis on activities to preserve the environment, supporting local communities and improving student employability post-graduation.

Professor Jane Harrington, vice-chancellor of the University of Greenwich, added: “Our students are at the heart of everything we do, and this contract enables us to deliver high quality services while realising a wide range of opportunities for our students, ranging from mentoring, apprenticeships and internships to employability and CV workshops and career insight days.

“Sodexo shares many of our values particularly around sustainability and equality, diversity and inclusion. I look forward to working with them.”
