Sodexo Prestige wins £1.6m deal with Malaysian Airlines' Golden Lounge

Sodexo Prestige, the fine dining, hospitality and events division of Sodexo, has secured a three-year deal with Malaysian Airlines' Golden Lounge at London Heathrow's Terminal 4.
As part of the £1.6m win, Sodexo Prestige will be providing first and business class hospitality services to the 40,000 passengers who pass through the Golden Lounge each year. Malaysian Airlines has also worked with Sodexo Prestige chefs, John-Somrit Cherdchuwickhaikon and Glenn Miller, on the art of Far Eastern cuisine which will be served to the airline's first class and business class lounge passengers. Dato Zulkifli M Shariff, London Heathrow catering and lounge co-ordinator, Malaysian Airlines, said: "The Sodexo team mobilised the contract seamlessly, achieving an instant positive impact in service and food delivery to the airline's first and business class passengers." Richard Cripps, Sodexo Prestige account director for UK airports, added: "This is a fantastic win to add to our already highly prestigious portfolio of airport lounges. "We have a very strong team working on the Golden Lounge including Glynn Lawrence, UK airports executive chef, who has a vast amount of experience in fine dining at some of London's finest corporate catering establishments, and Leanne Findley who is responsible for the smooth running of the lounge operation."
