Sodexo Prestige appoints key account sales manager

Catering and event company Sodexo Prestige is boosting its north of England operation with a new appointment.

The company, which provides conference and banqueting services at a number of sites, including St James’ Park – home to Newcastle United FC, as well as Everton FC and the Headingley Carnegie Stadium, has recruited Rachel Riches to the position of North of England key account sales manager.

Riches, from Lancashire, will be tasked with increasing sales across Sodexo’s sites and raising the profile of their conference and event facilities within the corporate market.

She joins Sodexo from the DeVere hotel chain, where she was national account manager and brings more than 30 years’ experience to her new role, having worked in all areas of the hospitality industry from conference co-ordinating to outside catering and business development.

Colin Perkins, Sodexo Prestige account director for the North, said: “We are delighted to welcome Rachel whose experience and commitment will help us strengthen our existing client relationships and build new ones.”
