Abstract
Global services company Sodexo scooped a record ten awards and joint venture company F3 won four golds at The Stadium Events and Hospitality Awards 2019.

The awards recognise the dedication of those working in matchday, catering and hospitality at football and rugby stadiums across the UK.

The awards were presented at the Etihad Stadium, home of Manchester City FC, on Thursday 20 June.

David Trotter, divisional director of Scotland and Northern Ireland at Sodexo, said: “These awards are recognised across the industry and for so many venues to have triumphed in so many categories is excellent.

“Our catering and events teams are dedicated to delivering unparalleled service across the board and these awards reflect that.”

The Sodexo team at St James’ Park, home of Newcastle United FC, won silver in the Matchday Hospitality Award for a large stadium. Brighton’s Amex Stadium scooped sliver in the Matchday Hospitality Award for a medium stadium.  They were beaten by Swansea City, who recently signed an eight-year contract with Sodexo.

Elsewhere, the Sodexo teams at Brighton’s Amex Stadium won the award for Best Digital Enquiry category. There was also success for Sodexo at Everton’s Goodison Park, which was awarded silver in the Chef Team of the Year Award.

F3, the joint venture between Absolute Taste and Legends of the US, celebrated four gold awards including: Small Stadium Matchday Hospitality Award (Watford), Best Events Venue and Chef Team of the Year (Manchester City).

Emelie Lundberg, sales and events manager at Watford, was awarded the Shining Star Award for her personal dedication and extraordinary growth in the non-matchday business at Vicarage Road.

Neil Worcester, managing director of F3, said: “These awards are a testament to the hard work our teams put in throughout the year, during both the football season and off-season hosting concerts and events. I always feel great pride when the team are recognised for all their efforts and dedication to be the best in the UK.”
