Sodexo extends North Devon District Hospital (NDDH) partnership
Abstract
Global services company, Sodexo, has extended its soft services contract with Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust for a further three years.

The extension will see Sodexo invest in the refurbishment of the shop and café. Also Sodexo will invest in new vehicles for courier services around North Devon District Hospital (NDDH) and the surrounding GP surgeries.

Stuart Winters, chief executive of Healthcare, Sodexo UK & Ireland, said: “We are thrilled to be extending our partnership with the Trust, which will see us working together for a total of 26 years. During this time we have developed a strong relationship and have more than two decades worth of insight in the provision of great patient experience.

“We are looking forward to continuing to work with North Devon District Hospital revitalising the food and retail areas of the hospital and in providing vital courier services for integrated health and social care community services across the region.”

Sodexo employs approximately 300 people at NDDH and provides services including catering, cleaning, security and courier services.

Iain Roy, director of facilities at Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust, added: “The Trust has been working with Sodexo for over two decades and over this time our partnership has become stronger and stronger. Our non-clinical staff from Sodexo are an integral part of providing quality care and a good experience to our patients, visitors and staff.”
