Sodexo extends contract with glass manufacturer Pilkington

Abstract
Sodexo, a leading provider of on-site service solutions, has extended its contract with glass manufacturer Pilkington to include a full range of hard and soft facilities management (FM) services at eight of the company's UK sites.
Sodexo provides a fully integrated FM service to Pilkington including mechanical and electrical (M&E), security, catering, cleaning, building and grounds maintenance and sewerage management services. Neil Murray, managing director for Sodexo Corporate Services, said: "Self-delivery of multiple services under an integrated management model allows us to create real value for our clients. "We are delighted to have extended our relationship with Pilkington from what was once a catering-only contract to a comprehensive service solution, designed to meet today's demanding market needs." Paul Beard, UK procurement manager at Pilkington, added: "Pilkington is extremely pleased with the level and quality of service provided by Sodexo over the years. I have personally been impressed with the professionalism demonstrated by the company during the implementation phase of the new integrated facilities management contract." To date, Sodexo provides services to around 2,200 employees at six sites in the St Helen's area, including the company's head office in Lathom, one site in Merseyside and one in Salford.
