Abstract
Snack producer Snact has announced that it has successfully closed a seed investment round with the help of investment bank ClearlySo to tackle food waste in the UK.

The investment will be used to grow the business, including product development and growing the team. Snact are working with Compass and are hoping to expand activities with them and other contract caterers.

Michael Minch-Dixon, co-founder of Snact, said: “This is obviously a great moment for us and shows how far we’ve come since we were making snacks ourselves in a rented kitchen in Hackney. Having this will allow us to reach a bigger scale meaning we’ll tackle more food waste and make more healthy snacks for snactivists out there!”

The company produces healthy snacks from fruit and vegetables that would otherwise be rejected for being too big, too small, or too ugly.
