Smart Group lands 16 contracts at Paris Air Show
Abstract
Smart Group is touching down in the French capital next Monday for the 51st Paris Air Show and will deliver hospitality across 16 separate operations, from bespoke a la carte chalets to individual exhibition stand receptions.

The catering and events company anticipates 10,000 covers across all five days of the show. The occasion will see Smart Group hosting royalty, prime ministers, top government and military officials and senior figures from the world’s most important aviation companies and defence contractors.

The company will send over 150 members of staff, headed up be executive head chef David Ridgway and group COO Paul Vesper.

Vesper said: “The Paris Air Show represents an exciting new chapter in the Smart Group story, a direct result of our recent purchase and incorporation of Moving Venue.

“The resulting, increased capacity that this acquisition offered has allowed us to provide a more robust service, putting us in pole-position to deliver more large-scale events both in the UK and across the continent.”

“The Paris Air Show gives us an opportunity to showcase our diverse offering and the scope of our ambition as a company, demonstrating that we can provide an equally excellent service whether entertaining 10 or 10,000 people.

“Throughout this project we have not lost sight of our grounding principles, an all too present danger when expanding operations.

“We are bringing the very same staff that have cemented our reputation for unrivalled service in the UK and have ensured that all ingredients used across out menus have been sourced from the excellent producers that abound in the Paris area.”

The Smart Group is a collection of hospitality, catering and event management businesses founded and led by CEO, Greg Lawson.
