Abstract
Seasoned, an events management and catering company, is offering support to the armed forces by backing a veteran employee scheme.

Seasoned has signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant to give back to the heroic soldiers who fought for the country. The company plans to support veterans by providing them with the knowledge and skills they need to have a career in the events and catering industry.

Colin Sayers, managing partner of events at Seasoned, said: “It is an honour to give back to the heroic soldiers who have put their lives on the line to protect our nation. We believe that veterans will shine in our industry as there are so many transferable skills that lead into the events and catering sector.

“By supporting the employment of veterans and service leaders, we are giving them an opportunity to venture on to a new career path as they adapt to life outside of the forces. Signing up to the Armed Forces Covenant will allow us to show our appreciation to those who have served.”

By working with the community, the Covenant focusses on helping members of the armed forces to receive the same access to products and government and commercial services as any other citizen. Last month contract caterer Elior renewed its support for The Armed Forces Corporate Covenant to demonstrate its commitment to the recruitment of service veterans and their families.
