Abstract
British caterer Searcys, which was established in 1847, has announced it has been appointed the new catering partner of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

From May 2021, Searcys will provide hospitality services for the RCS for the next seven years. Searcys will implement seasonal menus, which celebrate the best of British and sustainable produce.

Searcys will oversee all catering, event sales and marketing operations during the seven-year contract. Dating back to 1797, the RCS at Lincoln’s Inn Fields is home to over 25,000 members and has undergone many transformations over the years.

Paul Jackson, managing director of Searcys, said: “The last 12 months have been incredibly challenging for the hospitality and events industries and this new win is a testament to the hard work and resilience of the team at Searcys.

“Delivering outstanding hospitality has been at the core of Searcys for over 170 years and we look forward to bringing our expertise, quality, and ethos of providing special moments to the RCS guests. We are happy to be busy again!”

The conference and events venue- The View- is set to open in the summer and Searcys hopes it will be able to hold seasonal parties and celebration events later in the year.

Walter Hand, facilities manager for the RCS, added: “We are delighted to have Searcys on board. From the outset, we were impressed by the quality and finesse of the food offer, as well as Searcys’ experience in managing and marketing large venues. We look forward to working with the team and developing our meetings and events at the venue.”
