The event, organised by the Craft Guild, will take place from May 28-29 at Brockenhurst College in Brockenhurst, Hampshire, and offers chefs an opportunity to demonstrate their culinary knowledge and talent.
The competition is split into four categories: Live Hot, Live Cold, Restaurant and Display, with scores of classes for entrants to choose – from a British game main course in the Live Hot section to napkin folding in the Restaurant Table Display.
More than 80 gold medals and just under 150 silver medals were won at the 2013 event, which attracted in excess of 700 entries over the four categories – more than double the number at the 2012 competition.
With six months to go before the event, the Craft Guild has already got a host of sponsors on board for the competition. They are: CCS, Chewton Glen, Churchill, Cloud Hotel, Collins King, Essential Cuisine, Fullers, Gourmet Classic, Hartnett Holder & Co, Marlin Marquees, MCS, Tilda, The Staff Canteen, Village Veg and Wenlock Spring, with more to be announced shortly.
Craft Guild business Partner The Staff Canteen is one of the media partners for the event and will be extensively covering the show via its www.thestaffcanteen.com website.
The deadline for entries is Friday, May 2, 2014. For an entry form, email cgc@proactivecommunications.co.uk or call the Craft Guild on 0208 948 3870.
