Abstract
The latest webinar from LACA taking place on Wednesday, July 22nd will include a look at the value of school meals plus a demonstration from Holly Charnock, School Chef of the Year 2020 (SCOTY).

The event, which starts at 11am, will kick-off with a session from Professor Greta Defeyter of Northumbria University on the importance of school food and the school meal service in supporting children's dietary intake in September.

She will be drawing on the latest research from the Healthy Living Lab she runs at the university into rising childhood malnutrition and argue that this strengthens the case for continued support of universal infant free school meals (UIFSM) and even extending it to Key Stage 2 children up to the age of 11.

This will be followed by SCOTY winner Holly Charnock, who will be joined by Mark Rigby, executive chef at Premier Foods and SCOTY chair of judges this year, as she showcases her winning dishes.

These were:

* Braised beef tortellini with spinach, a tomato and basil sauce, balsamic reduction and a parmesan crisp.
* Chocolate brownie and banana ice cream

While she shows how to prepare and cook the dishes, Holly will also be answering your questions live during the webinar.
