The awards were created to celebrate and promote schools that prioritise wellbeing, sustainability, healthy living and the provision of high quality food and nutrition in all schools.
A spokesperson said: “Providing a mark of distinction and a unique marketing advantage for finalists and winners, the awards highlight the commitment of schools that are helping to improve the lives of their students and staff while recognising the institutions, initiatives, people and policies that promote better health and productivity.
“Judged by a panel of leading independent experts from across the education sector, they are open to state-run, private and public schools throughout Scotland, and showcase the highest levels of achievement, innovation, community cooperation and development.”
