From 11.00am, 850 of the nation’s best pies, loaves and cakes will be rated.
A panel of 50 industry experts will score the foods on appearance, freshness and taste, choosing one ultimate winner from each category, as well as the manufacturer of the year and unsung hero of the year.
The winner of each product category will go forward to be considered for the top prize, Scottish Baker of the Year 2018.
The awards were founded by Scottish Bakers, the trade association for bakers in Scotland, in 2012.
Each year, the organisation asks customers across Scotland to vote for their favourite bakery items in categories, such as individual cake and savoury.
This year’s winner will be announced at a Gala dinner at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow on Saturday May 5.
