In collaboration with LACA, the team at Cypad, BlueRunner and ParentPay have produced a report that aims to help education caterers get the actionable feedback they need to make informed decisions and changes to your school meal service.
The 2023 report is being launched at the LACA Main Event– pick up your copy from the Lancaster room. The topics covered include:
- Meal uptake numbers for 2023
- How to increase school meal uptake from the parent perspective
- Insights on free school meals and the perceived impact on students’ quality of life
- Key recommendations for enhancing the quality of your school meals service
- Perceptions of school meal information availability
- The impact of technology on the parent and child experience of school meals
- Allergy and special diet type insights
A spokesperson said: “Once again this year, we have worked on the report with LACA and Assist FM. As an organisation in its 31st year, LACA has long been recognised as an association representing and supporting school catering organisations and teams across the country, with 80% of school catering services being delivered by its members. Assist FM have also contributed to the report historically and gave their full support for the responses from parents across Scotland for 2023.
“This study helps us to understand what caterers and school leadership teams need to do to ensure their customers and families are happy with the service provided. Comparing the results to previous surveys and other pieces of research will provide an ongoing understanding of the needs of parents/guardians, school leadership and catering teams.”
On Friday 7th July LACA vice chair Anita Brown along with Parent Pay’s Chris Schroeder and Ricky Nelson will discuss the findings from the research with delegates at the Main Event.
