School to give pupils free meals

A south London primary school is making the unusual step of giving all pupils free meals without means testing.
Temple Grove Hatcham school is hoping the move will encourage pupils to eat more healthily. Chief executive officer, Elizabeth Sidwell explained more: "We believe in the importance of having a good meal to help sustain everyone throughout the day. We have our own chefs in every school with a federation catering manager overseeing. Our food is locally sourced produce and is designed to be appealing to the students. Around 60% of pupils at the school are eligible for school meals.
