Figures show that 275,000 sausage rolls were sold nationwide across the businesses in 2014 making them their most popular item on the menu.
In 2014, customers spent over £1 million on sausages across the Kudos venues from Manchester to Brighton, with all of the products made using locally sourced sustainable ingredients.
Manchester’s National Football Museum offers the ‘away team’ sausage roll, which is filled with Bury black pudding with meat sourced from local Manchester butcher MJ Birtwistles & Co.
Josh Beth, retail director at Kudos, said: “That’s a whole lot of sausage! As long as there is a demand we will keep the new ideas and recipes rolling.”
Kudos, part of the Crown Group, was founded in 1990 and holds catering contracts at 21 venues, from Brighton to Harrogate. The company specialises in providing office and retail catering services, venue sales and wedding planning.
