Abstract
The Réunion des Gastronomes announced the appointment of Paul Evans FIH as its new president, succeeding Bill Brogan.

Accompanying him in this new chapter is Janet Wigley, who has been appointed vice president. Founded in 1899, the Réunion des Gastronomes is dedicated to promoting excellence in food, wine, and service within the hospitality industry.

The association brings together professionals who uphold the highest standards of gastronomic service and has long been a guiding light for nurturing talent and sharing best practice in British hospitality.

Evans, a fellow of the Institute of Hospitality (FIH), brings decades of experience to the role. A respected figure in the hospitality sector, he is known for his dedication to professional development, leadership training and his support of emerging talent in the industry.

He has served in a number of senior hospitality leadership roles and is also currently chair of the London Region of the Institute of Hospitality. Evans has also been an active member of the Gastronomes for many years, championing its values of excellence.

Commenting on the news, Evans said: “It is an incredible honour to take on the role of president of the Réunion des Gastronomes. I follow in the footsteps of remarkable leaders, and I’m excited to continue building on the association’s mission — championing excellence, supporting our members, and helping to nurture the future leaders of our industry.”
