Restaurant Design Associates recruit trio of new talent

19th Jul 2010 - 00:00
Abstract
The north-east based design company, Restaurant Design Associates (RDA), has welcomed three new employees to its team of staff.
The new appointments coincide with RDA's move into new premises as part of the company's expansion plan that has enabled the company to increase their number of staff. The company has recruited Colin Milne of Felling, who accepted the job of estimator after previously working at West End Cabinet & Joinery in Blaydon. His role will include calculating budget costs for conceptual designs and estimating the cost of final live projects to offer clients the best value for money. Also joining the company will be Gemma Madden of the Coast Road, Newcastle, as RDA's new office manager. Following redundancy from her previous role in commercial banking, her role will include working on repairs, accounts and marketing. The final addition is Jo Rutter, from Gosforth, who joins the company as a designer. Having also experienced redundancy - from his twelve-year role as a designer working for a shopfitting company - he spent ten months freelancing and another three working for CCN before joining RDA. In his new role, Butler will be involved in designing canteens and restaurants for schools, hospitals, offices and universities and will carry out on-site surveys and discuss client briefs. The recruiting of the new staff members comes as the company celebrates a "thriving" first quarter of 2010, announcing sales of more than £1million.
