Abstract
Restaurant Associates (part of Compass Group) is trialling a new touch screen allergen system at London museum, Wellcome Collection, to offer ‘accessible and inclusive dining for all.’

The brand new digital allergen guide – TASnow – enables delegates to browse menu items and discover more about each dish, including allergy information, to ‘ensure an easy, informed experience for guests.’

With 20% of Brits now affected by one or more allergies, the interactive touchscreen allows customers to upload menus to their phones so the information is readily available.

Wellcome Collection event spaces manager, Daniel Caleb, said: “At Wellcome Collection, we take allergens very seriously and pride ourselves on consistently evolving our offer to ensure it is as accessible and inclusive as possible.

“According to research, 60% of consumers believe the ability to view up-to-date and accurate allergen information is an important part of their dining experience, and we believe that conferences and events should be no different.

“We hope that the use of these screens will help give further confidence and reassurance to delegates when they are attending events at Wellcome Collection.”
