Abstract
Restaurant Associates, the executive dining arm of Compass Group UK & Ireland, has announced that it has received the MSC certification for all of its clients’ restaurants.

Restaurant Associates provides executive dining to companies across London including leading law firms, investment banks and innovative marketing agencies. By working with consultant chefs, Restaurant Associates also delivers award-winning food in top London restaurants.

The catering business serves 250,000 customers a day across more than 100 sites, all of which will now be serving certified sustainable fish and using the MSC ecolabel on their menus.

Commenting on this announcement, Andy Harris, managing director of Restaurant Associates said: “This is a great achievement and one which demonstrates our focus on taking our long-standing commitments in sustainable sourcing to the next level.

"A year ago, we signed the Sustainable Fish City pledge, committing to achieving MSC certification across all of our restaurants. Today’s announcement represents the fulfilment of that goal and I am exceptionally proud of all of our teams that have been working so hard to make this happen.”

Celine Aubry, corporate responsibility manager for Restaurant Associates added: “By providing MSC certified sustainable fish in all of our restaurants, we are able to highlight the importance of sustainable sourcing to our customers and showcase the range of fantastic sustainable fish available and how they can easily be used and cooked.

"This partnership with the MSC also enables us to inform our customers about the great work of the MSC certified fisheries in minimising their impact on the marine ecosystem as this is something we are keen to highlight.”
