Abstract
Red Tractor, the farm and food standards scheme, is launching promotions for consumers during barbecue season to promote and raise awareness of its ‘Trust the Tractor’ message.

From May 1st to July 9th, Red Tractor will be offering consumers a chance to win a Napoleon Grills barbecue every day and will launch a Britain’s Best BBQ-er competition across Facebook and Twitter in conjunction with the promotion.

Andy Thompson, Red Tractor marketing manager, said: “Last year’s barbecue promotion was phenomenally successful; our on-pack offer ran on ten million packs across 1,000 lines, generating over 300,000 entries and record levels of traffic to our website.

“The addition of Britain’s Best BBQ-er competition aims to get even more people across the nation barbecuing earlier in the year and more often.”

The promotions will be supported by a PR campaign, which will feature country and farming expert and BBC TV presenter Adam Henson, email, digital and a social media campaign emphasising the ‘Trust the Tractor’ message.

Established in 200, Red Tractor promotes and regulates food quality, animal welfare, food safety, traceability and environmental protection.
