Abstract
Celebrated chefs Raymond Blanc OBE and Bruno Loubet joined forces on Tuesday to help raise important funds for industry charity, Hospitality Action by hosting an exclusive dinner at Bistrot Bruno Loubet.
The one-off, sell-out event saw charity patron and star of BBC2's Kitchen Secrets, Raymond reunite with his protégée Bruno to serve an impressive four-course dinner of spring vegetable salad, air-dried duck, parmesan mousse and banyulus jelly. Before dinner guests were given an exclusive preview of The Zetter Townhouse, due to open in April, where they enjoyed a private drinks reception. Raymond said: "Hospitality Action is an amazing charity that I am proud to support. It's fantastic to work with Bruno again for such a vital cause." Bruno said: "It is always good to support our industry and give something back. I would like to encourage others to do the same and make a difference so we can help even more of those in real need." Penny Moore, chief executive, Hospitality Action said: "It was wonderful to observe Raymond and Bruno's outstanding culinary skills up close and in person. I can't thank all those that attended and helped to support the event enough. The £17,000 raised will go towards assisting those that have worked, or are working in our industry that are facing difficult times through illness, poverty, bereavement or addiction." The evening was attended by a number of well-known figures from across the industry including Mark Sainsbury of the Sainsbury dynasty.
