Ramco releases latest ‘Kitchens Conversations’ video

Abstract
Ramco has unveiled the latest video in its ‘Kitchen Conversations’ featuring an interview with Keith Warren, chief executive of the Foodservice Equipment Association (FEA).

The ‘Kitchen Conversations’ series provides a platform of hospitality leaders to discuss how the sector is responding to sustainability issues. In the video Warren explores the challenge of sustainability for foodservice equipment supplies as well as the need for clearer quality standards across the industry.

Warren said: “The biggest sustainability problem affecting the hospitality sector is this big issue of the circular economy: what it actually means and bringing that down to the operational level. Of course, it will mean different things to different people, so the challenge is integrating that knowledge and expertise to find the solution that’s needed.

“We also need to look at standards for the industry, against which it can measure performance. There is a lot the industry needs to do to provide the operator with better information to help them make a more informed decision on what they buy and why they are buying it.”

The FEA has more than 190 members across the industry, including manufacturers, importers, designers and service companies.

Liam Cameron, marketing executive at Ramco Foodservices, added: “These interviews are a helpful way for industry professionals to talk about the environmental, economic and human challenges they have faced throughout the pandemic. I hope that others in the sector find them useful as we look to rebuild after a challenging year of lockdowns.”

The second ‘Kitchen Conversation’ is available to watch on Ramco’s website as well as the first instalment with BaxterStorey’s Mike Hanson, which is available to watch on Ramco’s YouTube channel.
