Today (24th March) we reveal the finalists in the following categories: Care Catering Award; Marketing Award; Training & Apprenticeship Award and Special Contribution Award. Due to a record number of entries and more finalists than usual the announcements will be spread over five days instead of the usual four.
The Public Sector Catering Awards are open to individuals, teams and organisations, including contract caterers operating in a public sector environment. The winners in the 19 categories will be unveiled at a gala dinner on Thursday 24th April at the Hilton London Metropole. Book your place here.
The Public Sector Catering Lifetime Achievement Award, which was not open for nominations, will be given to the individual or organisation who, during a notable career in the industry, has demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities, drive, ideas and influence that taken together, make them a worthy winner of the highest accolade the industry can bestow.
David Foad, editor of Public Sector Catering Magazine, said: "We have been absolutely blown away by the response we have received to the 2025 Public Sector Catering Awards. Nominations have flooded in and are almost 40% up on last year, which itself was the best ever.
"It shows that despite the massively challenging environment in which public sector caterers have to operate, they still see huge value in supporting their stand-out teams and individuals in the great job they do. In an industry in which such valuable work is often done with so little recognition, they obviously see the Public Sector Catering Awards as offering a chance to put that right."
